POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW
I am a passionate Early Career Researcher dedicated to making sleep science accessible, community-informed and data-driven.
My research focuses on the development and implementation of interventions to improve sleep, and where possible, prevent the onset of clinical sleep disorders. I specialise in sleep, wellbeing and health in those who may be vulnerable to inadequate sleep, including new parents and those engaged in shift work.
Through translating research into practical evidence-based solutions, I aim to better support families and communities to get better sleep and reap the benefits.
Alongside my body of research, I actively advocate for Early Career Researchers through my roles as founding member and current Co-Chair of the Australasian Sleep Association
Network of Early career Sleep researchers in Training (NEST)
and Chair of the Monash School of Psychological Sciences Early Career Researcher Committee.
A longitudinal investigation of changes in sleep, health and wellbeing during the perinatal period. The project includes a RCT with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia for pregnant individuals experiencing sleep difficulties. Currently recruiting mothers, fathers, birthing and non-birthing parents.
Find out moreA longitudinal assessment of changes in biological, psychological and social factors relative to commencement of shift work. Study examines paramedics interns from pre-shift work commencement throughout a 12 month period.
Protocol PaperThe development and initial validation of a novel scale for measurement of psychosocial determinants of sleep, physical activity and dietary intake in shift workers. The use of such as scale will better inform future intervention strategies to support workers with the additional challenges presented by working shift work.
